Yesterday in the Contra Costa Times (Bay Area paper), a reporter talked about how the Harden Gaudin trade was a good trade. As I read his section I realized how wrong i thought he was. What do you think?
Well, Harden has become a walking hospital ward, which threatens to limit a promising career. Doesn’t get ahead in the count enough, creating high pitch counts. Gaudin, walks are his biggest drawback, and his lack of command are evident against left-handed hitters. Surprisingly, he’s ineffective with nobody on base. Murton boasts decent plate discipline and developing power, not to mention decent speed on the bases. Hits especially well against lefties. I am not an A’s fan, and rooting for the Cubs to win the World Series, if it is not against the Yankees.

By the late 1980s, AIDS was everywhere. Obituaries flooded gay newspapers such as the Bay Area Reporter, and mainstream news reports dealt with the latest – and often unsuccessful – developments in research and prevention findings. Meanwhile, activist groups such as ACT UP and Queer Nation stormed the streets of cities on both coasts and the White House demanding the government respond quicker, and approve new drugs to fight the epidemic.
“You went into the system you got sicker, sicker, and died, usually after diagnosis. So they didn’t have to plan what they would do with long-term survivors,” said Gary Myerscough, 60, a board member of the National Association on HIV Over 50.
Paul Quin, 64, a lean and sprite man with playful blue eyes and a board member of the National Association on HIV Over 50, agreed with Allgaier that in a way it is somewhat strange to work with someone who learned about AIDS from a textbook when he lived through it and continues to live with the disease.”
Why would anyone want to have a short lifespan by doing something that risky and anti-religious ?
Is it following the lemmings ?
marble dog, ever hear of hepatitis and its related diseases and how they are caused ?
Nicole B, ever hear of rampant bisexuality among African American men ? That’s not because of the women, you know. You still have to get some anal organism disease.
Because it is who they are.
Duh.

When reporting on a harbor in the SF bay area… would that be bad for my career? I am a news anchor and I did that a few minutes ago and people arent talking to me. Im on break now
It depends on how you said it. Judging by your spelling you are not a real news anchor so I don’t think it matters that much.

For those of you who saw the “CNN Reporter” and what she portrayed as the Tea Party should see this. I am happy someone (not a reporter) was able to film this which definitely shows a more accurate representation of what the event was really like.
I was at a Tea Party and can safely say the one I was at was very bipartisan, peaceful demonstration, and very much so not extreme.
Mind you I live in the Bay Area and there are not to many “Right Wing Extremists” out here I was standing out there with hippies too… LOL!
Rotorhead– Good idea to send a complaint to CNN so I followed your lead and just wrote them a letter!
CNN had to shut down her email. Now they are bombarding the heads of CNN.
I don’t think there was a single arrest at a TEA Party. Some might have gotten a little loud but all were civil and well within the Rights and protections of the 1st Amendment. No one was throwing benches through office windows, no one tossing Molotov cocktails at the cops, no cars getting overturned and set on fire.
But someone should have kicked this reporter in the @ss and I might have looked the other way.
I emailed all of them.
The subject line of my email was “The future of CNN and my TV”
The body read: There isn’t one.

James asks…
On local news, why do the reporters always say where people are from when they’re reporting the stories?
For example, on news stations in the SF Bay Area, the reporters say stuff like “A Livermore man…” or a “San Francisco man…” or a “San Jose woman…”
This may sound dumb, but why does it matter where the people are from? I’m a little annoyed by it.
It might matter to you more if you lived in those areas or it was someone you knew or a neighbor. They are trying to connect to everyone and to show that they cover the whole area.
