I’m about to attend my county’s votech for marketing, can somone list some high paying jobs in that field? Have any of you climbed that ladder or know someone who did? if so, where did he/she start? and what kind of college would i need to make (if possible) like $100k a year?
It really depends on where your job is located. I work in Marketing in Manhattan and $100k is a normal/ attainable salary for a Marketing job at a good firm. You just have to get your foot in the door. My suggestion is to get in with a good firm, no matter what the position. Name recognition is huge! I started out as an Adminstrative Assistant in a really great firm and now 7 years later I am heading up a Marketing team at a top Investment Bank in Manhattan. Best of luck to you!

Yes, What kind of marketing jobs are out there for a person with some college like certificate?? And are they hard to get ??
In my field (restaurants), we often use entry level marketing people to spread the word about things like our catering service to local businesses. Often times with restaurants the corporation will reimburse the franchise for whatever is paid to the marketing person, so we are more willing to give someone relatively new to the field or with limited experience a chance. Search for local franchise offices for restaurants with catering services like Panera or even some fast food places.

I have a friend that ot a degree in Business Admin with an emphasis in Marketing. She lives in a very small town about an hour to hour and a half from any large city. She worked for me full time part of her way through college. She had excellent skills and was very ethical. She earned her way into management and as a management trainer and was successful at both while still attending college full time. She thought that the company was going to move her into its marketing department but the company had major money problems and couldn’t promote her and doesn’t look like it will be able to any time soon. She loves marketing and is desperate to get into this field. But can hardly even get a response to her resume’. She has tried getting on with major corporations and wouldn’t mind getting on with a minor one but she’s not able to just up and move without a job. I don’t think they are considering her because of her lack of experience in marketing and her proximity. Any suggestions for her?
She should consider an internship somwhere to get more experience, it isn’t as rare as it might seem to take one after you’ve graduated. I would also consider sales for a marketing company, or working as media buyer or receptionist as a foot in the door type of thing.
Another problem might be an address, if she is applying to places out of state they may think she wants them to pay relocation and that can be a detractor.

I have a master’s degree in international business from UK and currently in US. I am open to sales marketing jobs as I do not have any work-experience but I’d love to work in international management. How do I go about it? Also I did find 2-3 opening in international management and would like to know how the interview will look like? What kinda questions will they ask etc etc. Or as for marketing , how is the interview process if they say it is rigorous. Any site that could help ?
FreeLife International is just that – International, and they’re hoping to go into the UK this year. They just might have some type of job openings for a person with your experience. Their link is below.

To be clear: I’m familiar with very basic HTML and how to use blogging platforms like WordPress. I’m looking for examples of jobs where you work for a company (not self employed or free lancing) that revolve around SEO and web marketing. NOT article writing or micro site blogging. All suggestions are appreciated. Thank you.
For seo to work, all require strategies to go hand in hand like site optimization, keywords, basically your’e on track with word press but link building is really a necessity to improve your site. Also try traffic geyser. Hope this helps, james from seoaviator
